Meeting with friends is important for social skills and consistency. Join us as we build relationships, get our days off to a great start, and practice key academic and social skills. Morning (or afternoon, or evening) meetings are a great way for your learner to practice skills consistently with friends. The goal of our meeting is to build confidence and build community. In our first-grade morning meetings will reinforce skills learned in Kinder and introduce new skills that are learned in grade 1. Each meeting we will have a fun time greeting one another, repeating positive affirmations, participating in calendar time, identifying the weather, representing the number of the day, reading sight words, learning a new vocabulary word, and sharing. Please ensure your learner comes to class on time to get the most out of our morning meetings!

Hey there! My name is Kaylani (I go by Teacher Kaylani or Mrs. K).
I am a state-certified teacher with experience in both Middle and Elementary school. I hold an M.Ed in Educational Leadership, a Bachelor's in Communication, and a TESOL certificate.
It is my passion to help students gain ( and keep) a love for learning. Learning should be valuable and fun.
Today, I work with children and adults from all levels and walks of life to help them progress to success in Science, Reading, and Math skills and confidence. You will even find the occasional Art class infused with Social Studies.
