In this private tutoring session, students will receive assistance with grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing. The goal is to help students develop a deeper understanding of grammar/reading/writing and increase their skills in the many stages of writing: brainstorming, outlining, and organizing. Classes are structured to meet individual needs. The main focus of the class will be individualized writing instruction and/or homework help. Parents should coordinate with the student’s teacher to determine what areas to focus on. Depending on the homework, the student will be given additional suggestions on how to improve their language skills.

I have a B.A. in Literature/Rhetoric from Binghamton University and Masters level work in English Literature from SUNY New Paltz. I taught Freshman English at SUNY New Paltz and I currently work as a college tutor for Math and English at SUNY Sullivan.
