Parental Guidance
"The Prince" by Machiavelli can be considered both scary and violent, as it openly discusses the use of cruelty, deception, and even assassination as necessary tools for a ruler to maintain power, often detailing historical examples of leaders who employed such tactics with chilling clarity; while not explicitly graphic, the concept of calculated violence for political gain can be unsettling to many readers.
