禪繞煙火！

We will start by defining a Zentangle (drawing using a defined space to create repetitive patterns) and understanding the purpose for this art style. The teacher will ask students to note how they are feeling at the beginning of class. (This will be revisited at the conclusion of class.) Then the teacher will show some examples of Zentangles. The teacher will show examples of how to start a Zentangle. Students will be instructed to draw squares or fold paper to make squares. Students can follow along or make their own patterns. 
Students will interact with and inspire one another by showing their art work. The teacher will also talk about how students are feeling while working on their project. 
At the end of class the teacher will talk about finishing their artwork and encourage students to continue to create more Zentangles. Lastly, the teacher will ask how students feel compared to how they felt at the beginning of the class.
