Would you rather draw a picture or play a game? In this class, you can do both. During this class, the learners will be taught about lines, shapes, sketching, perspective, creating dimensions, and other drawing techniques. Research has shown that art is important to child development because it supports the development of problem-solving skills, and fine motor skills, and is a great indicator of future career success. The learners will learn various aspects of drawing including using lines, shapes, dimensions, shading, and perspective to create drawings using pencils. They will also create landscape and cityscape drawings. The learners will learn about perspective as well.
I have been an educator for over 30 years. During this time, I have taught children in grades K-5. I have taught all academic subjects as well as Art and STEM. I am a self-taught artist that has developed my skills for over 35 years as this is one of my life long passions.

Drawing Paper or Sketchbook Pencil Eraser Straight edge or ruler Tissue (without lotion or aloe), cotton swab, or smudge sticks If the learner wishes to add color to their drawings, colored pencils, markers, or crayons can be used Creativity Smile
The learners will be determining some of the topics of conversation as well as some of the elements of their art. We may play Would You Rather? to help promote socialization.
No outside sources will be used.
