The goal of this student lead discussion class is for the girls to socialize and have fun while making friends in a safe environment. Class starts with a game to break the ice, such as a scavenger hunt. Then light conversation usually happens at this time as students get more comfortable or see students from the previous chat class. If there are several students, the teacher will open break out rooms where students are more inclined to share and play games such as hang-man or charades. Students will also be instructed to be aware and respectful of others talk time and encouraged to share in their talk time. The students who love this class are usually ones who come to multiple sessions and build friendships. As this is an On-going, which are a subscription, you may let the instructor know if that becomes a hardship.

We use the breakout rooms during class. Students are better able to connect using this feature. The instructor rotates between rooms to monitor activities. Therefore, some of the time will be students only. The teacher will constantly switch through each breakout room every to monitor what is being discussed and that Outschool and the club rules are being followed. Students do have the ability to click on the "Help" button located in each breakout room for immediate teacher assistance for any reason if I am not in their breakout room at the moment. Please note that when breakout rooms are used there will not be a recording available to be seen or reviewed since Outschool Zoom does not record breakout room sessions. The teacher has no control over this.
