This class is is perfect if you need to write a paper on an Egyptian-related subject, if you want to discover something about ancient Egypt that you haven't heard before - or go over something in depth that we talked about in a previous class. Class Process: Although I have listed some recommended research subjects, I encourage you to bring your own idea(s). Here's what we'll do: 1. You tell me what your research idea is. Ideally, tell me before we start the class so I can be prepared. ...
Students will learn to take responsibility for deciding and conducting their own research project on ancient Egypt. During the class, they will be initiators rather than receptacles of knowledge.
I hold a Certificate of Museum Studies from Harvard University and a Diploma in Egyptology from Oxford College in England. And I’ve been to Egypt three times on personalized, educational tours. I'm also a published writer. I've written for Cosmopolitan, Ladies Home Journal, Good Housekeeping, The Boston Globe and The Washington Post, among other publications. I've been captivated by ancient Egypt since I was 10 years old. And I feel it's my destiny to share my enthusiasm for and expertise on this beautiful and brilliant 5000-year-old civilization with all of you. I hope to see you soon. I think you'll agree that The Egyptian Room is an attractive, fun and inspiring place to learn.

Parents should know that ancient Egyptian images often portray nudity, and rarely, erotic features. It all depends on what the student decides to research. This is why I only will allow students 13 and above in this kind of class - unless the parent seeks prior approval before enrolling the student.
Most material will be Web-based out of the many sites on all aspects of ancient Egypt.
