With my teaching I prioritize creating a fun, animated, uplifting space to explore, try new things and express themselves! I will teach learners how to express themselves through vocalizing, how to build solid breath support, how to use body mechanics to help support their voice. We will also help them build their confidence in their voice, stage presence, and self!
  In our vocal coaching sessions, we will engage in physical stretches/body openers, breathwork exercises, vocal agility games, and singing their favorite songs and styles of music. When working with children, I structure and approach each aspect in a game type manner (i.e. " Okay, now we are going to have a competition to see which of us can hold the note the longest, and whoever wins get to choose which song we sing next!").
For developing/transitioning voices (ages 8-18), I highly recommend doing two vocal coaching sessions per week in order to build the habits and muscle memory necessary to  excel as a singer. I have found that students who consistently take 2 or more sessions per week grow their confidence and skills much more quickly than those who do not.
