Students will embark on a virtual adventure of the sea, off the coast of Indonesia. As we travel, students will be encouraged to examine their surroundings in order to answer the questions in their investigation notebook. Questions will range across the following: What type of species live underwater? What helps marine species to survive and thrive? What problems are negatively affecting the ocean? What does it mean to be an endangered species? Do humans have anything to do with this? What resources do the families use to survive off of the ocean? What actions are the illegal fisherman taking? Why do you think they did this? What does it mean to conserve and protect the environment? Whose responsibility is it? What is a conservationist?
