課堂經歷
This is a one-time class. It begins with students participating in activities designed to have them feel the anchoring bias firsthand. After reflecting on these experiences, a clear explanation of the anchoring bias will be defined for them. Then, many examples will be given to show how anchoring exists in the real world, and how this bias can affect human judgment as it pertains to money, medical concerns, the criminal justice system, relationship issues, etc. After a quick exploration of theories as to why we have this bias, students will learn the techniques to best resist its pull, in order to be smarter and make better decisions.

教師專業知識和證書
In 2020, I earned a Master’s degree in Behavioral and Decision Sciences from the University of Pennsylvania. I learned about the anchoring bias in that program.
I have been a teacher on Outschool for over a year. I primarily teach about misinformation - what it is, why we fall for it, and how to separate fact from fiction.
