Hi there! I'm Ms. Ashleigh, and I'm thrilled to invite your child into a world where education meets imagination - a place where third and fourth graders can thrive, learn, and grow in a Montessori environment tailored just for them. My passion for education, combined with my experience in the Montessori method, has inspired me to create a unique online classroom that embraces the beauty of learning through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) integrated with Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) principles.

FOUR WEEK OUTLINE

This outline provides a snapshot of what students will experience in the first four weeks of the Quantum Montessori's Exploration Hub, focusing on an integrated approach to learning that aligns with state standards while nurturing the whole child.

🟢 Week 1: Introduction and Exploration
A necessary step to determine exactly where your learner is so so that we can meet him/her there. This assessment will take place for all learners regardless of when during the school year they enroll.

Day 1: Welcome, Classroom Management, What is Montessori & How We Montessori
Day 2: Montessori-style Assessment
Day 3: Standard Assessment
Day 4: Literacy Assessment
Day 5: STEAM Project / Extended Social Time

Learners will be introduced to Math, Reading, ELA, Science, Practical Life, SEL, Writing and Spelling to assess learners knowledge in the class. I will analyze each student's strengths, progress and areas of improvement. 

Based on their results, I will plan individualized lessons and activities to cater to their specific needs. I will also provide continued guidance and support to help them reach their goals. Additionally, I will also introduce new materials and lessons to challenge and engage the students further. As a Montessori guide, my goal is to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment where each child can reach their full potential. Through continuous observation and assessment, I will continue to adapt and adjust guidance methods to ensure each learner is thriving in our virtual classroom.

GENERAL INFORMATION

To provide learners with a true understanding of what it's like to learn with us, and also to allow home educators to determine if we're the right fit for their family, we ask families to commit to one full quarter or 12-weeks of learning. We will continue to update and add new class dates and times as needed to accommodate year-round enrollment.

Montessori content repeats over the course of the school year building when the learner is ready. We do this by offering varied follow-up lessons to help learners master the topics before moving forward to the next. A supportive classroom environment such as this, helps learners enrolling mid-class adjust to the classroom routine and quickly adjust. Through individualized instruction and collaborative activities, we strive to create a smooth transition for new students to feel comfortable and thrive in our class.

Our program is designed to fit the schedules of homeschooling and working parents, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience that's manageable for the whole family.
