學前班和幼兒園的暑期閱讀和手工製作課程

Hi! Welcome to my classroom. This is a fun, interactive story-time and crafting classroom that takes place over the course of 10 weeks. This class is designed to keep your children engaged and comfortable in an online class during summer break. It doesn't feel like school- because it's a FUN hobby class. :-) It's especially wonderful for preschoolers and incoming kindergarteners. Each class will include a book written by a new author. Afterwards, we will be making a fun craft related to the theme/character of the book. All supplies will be very simple and as affordable as possible (i.e. construction paper, pipe cleaners, etc). The teacher will also supply printable coloring pages pertaining to the book for the younger students (or students unable to acquire the craft supplies that week) to color in class. Coloring is a great way to keep little ones seated and focused enough to enjoy a class. Please feel free to bring your own coloring book to class if you do not have a printer. I try to make my classes as accessible as possible. 

In each class, we will talk a little about what a library is, and why they are such awesome places to visit. Then I will show the kids our new book from the library. We will talk about what an author and illustrator is, and how a book comes from someone's imagination. We will then share a little wave hello to all our new friends before beginning our book. Afterwards, we will be creating our crafts and coloring. It will be loads of fun.

Week 4- The Pigeon Finds a Hotdog by Mo Willems
Week 5- The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt
Week 6- If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Joffe Numeroff
Week 7- Put Me in the Zoo by Robert Lopshire
Week 8- The Color Monster by Anna Llenas 
Week 9- I'm NOT Just a Scribble by Diane Alber
Week 10- Bartholomew and the Oobleck by Dr. Seuss
(depending on availability, some books/crafts may change)
