雨林動物詩

* STEAM is an educational approach that incorporates the arts into the more-familiar STEM model, which includes science, technology, engineering and mathematics.  

We will begin with a brief introduction and talk about which rainforest animal students want to write a poem about that day.  We will get our creativity going by watching and interacting with the teacher and peers during a Google Drive presentation about colorful and active rainforest animals.  

Next, the teacher will model how to write a diamante poem about one of her favorite animals.  Then, students will brainstorm with their peers and get to work writing their own poems. 

At the end of class, learners will be invited to share their poetry.

OPTIONAL:  After class students may want to neatly rewrite their poems and add an illustration of their animal.  Please post the final copy in our classroom so everyone can enjoy your poetry!
