Students will use permanent markers and watercolor paint to make a new design each day of camp. The atmosphere will be social and relaxing with a warm and engaging teacher. Students will gather to create, relax, and chat about their day. Students will learn how to use a color wheel as a tool to design with primary, secondary, analogous, and complementary colors. Students will have creative art experiences with permanent markers and watercolor paint.
The teacher has a master's degree in Integrating Arts into the Curriculum. She was an elementary public school teacher and small business owner of a tutoring business that focused on literacy through the arts. She has been teaching poetry, art, animal, and early literacy classes on Outschool since March 2020.
-Watercolor Paper (important because it absorbs paint better than copy or construction paper) -Permanent Markers (Sharpies), extra-fine and fine point, plus other colors or metallic pens of your choosing -Watercolor paint -Paint brushes, various sizes -Water -Paper towels ****The teacher may provide a template for some design that students may cut out and trace on watercolor paper if they'd like.
