動物藝術與詩歌

* STEAM is an educational approach that incorporates the arts into the more-familiar STEM model, which includes science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. 

-Learn facts about a new animal chosen by the teacher or suggested by students  
-On alternate weeks we will either write a poem or make a drawing of that week's animal
-Class format: introductions, slideshow with animal facts and whole group discussion, arts project (poetry OR animal art)
-At the end of class, learners are offered the opportunity to share their art pieces or read their poems to their peers

My goal is to build a welcoming, engaging, and educational community of learners. I'm sure students will be thrilled to know that there will be times when THEY get to choose what we are going to study the next week!  

Since this is an ongoing class, each class stands on its own so you are not required to attend every week.  You can start and stop your subscription to suit your schedule!

Part of creating art is enjoying the process, and the kids have a wonderful time learning, writing, and drawing with Judy. My daughter has been attending this class every Tuesday for over a year & a half now, and it is the highlight of her week!
