每週 1 小時. Students will be assigned one section of the SAT each week and will be expected to check their own answers. The SAT practice section will take about 30 minutes, and re-trying the missed questions will likely take another 30 minutes.評估
There is no formal assessment. However, if the students complete the homework as assigned, they will be able to track their progress from one practice test to the next.我們無法翻譯此文,請刷新頁面並再試一次。

"Prepare for the Digital SAT" is an ongoing class that students can join at any time to get ready for this important test. Each class will be a review of one of the many topics covered by the SAT. The more classes you attend, the more your score will go up! Classes will cycle through the topics of reading, grammar, and math. I will also integrate test-taking strategies into every topic, so students will continuously build their familiarity with the SAT's multiple-choice format. Who should sign up: This class is designed for high school students in the US or students in any country who plan to take the SAT for the purpose of applying to colleges in the US. You should be fluent in English and ready to work on the advanced reading and writing topics that are covered by the SAT. You should have already completed Algebra 1 and Geometry and at least some of Algebra 2. How it works: This is an ongoing class, so you can show up at any time and get right to work. Each class will start with a warm welcome to all students, both old and new, and a quick warm-up activity. Next, students who were in class the previous week will have a chance to ask any questions about the homework. The remainder of the class will be dedicated to building skills in one specific area covered by the SAT, such as using semicolons, solving quadratic equations, or answering the tricky poetry questions. Students should always come to class with a pencil, some paper, and their calculator because I'll be giving them lots of practice problems to try. Preliminary Schedule: Week 1 - May 16 - Central Idea Questions (Reading) Week 2 - May 23 - Punctuation Questions (Grammar) Week 3 - May 30 - Percentage Questions (Math) Week 4 - June 6 - Exponential Growth and Decay (Math) Week 5 - June 13 - Sentence Completion Questions (Reading) Ongoing Reading Topics: Command of Evidence (Textual & Quantitative), Inferences, Words in Context, Author’s Purpose, Cross-Text Connections, Rhetorical Synthesis Ongoing Grammar Topics: Transitions, Subject-Verb Agreement, Sentence Introductions, Advanced Comma Rules, Colons Semicolons & Dashes, Apostrophes, Diction, Verb Tenses, and Pronouns Ongoing Math Topics: Ratios & Proportions, Polynomials, Exponents & Roots, Solving Linear Equations, Solving Inequalities, Graphing Lines and Parabolas, Probability and Statistics, and Mastering Word Problems Materials: Students won't need to purchase any materials for this class. In-class activities will consist of practice problems and other activities created by the teacher. Homework will come from the practice tests made available for free by the College Board. Policies: It's not ok to watch this class like a video - every student needs to participate! The teacher will frequently ask students to send their answers to practice problems using the zoom chat feature. Students who got the answer correct will often be asked to explain their process to the rest of the class. Questions are always welcome, and students are expected to treat each other with respect. The teacher expects every student to keep their video on for the duration of class, unless they are having temporary tech issues or if the Outschool Safety team has cleared them to have the video off. In these two cases, the student should use zoom's chat feature to let the teacher know why their video isn't on. Students who do not keep on their videos and do not communicate with the teacher will be removed from the meeting.
