Learn to SHRED THE SAT with this engaging and complete math class for the digital SAT. This course keeps things light with a fun ski theme, but it will set you up for a serious score improvement. SHRED THE SAT is designed to - review all the foundational math topics covered on the SAT - discuss the best strategies for taking a multiple-choice test in a digital environment - work through examples at all difficulty levels - provide plenty of practice problems so students can build their experience and confidence - work in a convenient self-paced format, so each student can work under their own timeline. Each lesson contains multiple videos, each about 5-15 minutes long, created by a SAT tutor with more than 20 years experience. The videos contain multiple practice problems, so students cannot watch them passively. There is written summary of each video posted in the classroom, along with a frequent fun and encouraging messages. The end of each lesson contains a set of practice problems with video explanations available for every question for students to watch as needed. Students who complete the full course as intended should expect to spend 1.5-2 hours on each of the 13 lessons. The full course should take 6-13 weeks, depending on how many lessons per week the student choses to complete. They will need a notebook, pencil, and calculator to take notes and work through practice problems. Since this is a self-paced class, there will be no live meetings. However, every lesson gives an opportunity for the student to ask questions of the teacher and receive feedback and encouragement. The teacher will be available to respond on Tuesdays through Saturdays, except for holidays. Once the student completes the full course, they will get a certificate of completion to help them celebrate their accomplishment. While all students are different, the average student can expect to see their score go up by 50-100 points. Passionate about helping her students achieve their college dreams by being their coach and cheerleader as they prep for the SAT and ACT, Heather Krey is an experienced instructor with teaching certificates in math, physics, chemistry, and English. She knows the best tips and strategies for these tests – and she also understands that students need encouragement and practice to do their best. With dual bachelor's degrees in industrial engineering and psychology from Lehigh University, she also holds masters of education degrees in mathematics from DeSales University and in teaching from Kutztown University. Heather lives in Allentown, PA, with her husband and three children.

Mrs. Solomon tutors all sections of both tests and appreciates students with all kinds of goals, abilities, and temperaments. She loves the challenge of new students and does everything she can to stay up to date on the ever-evolving standardized tests. Mrs. Solomon currently teaches our ACT classes and is also available for private tutoring sessions for ACT, SAT, and academic English. When Mrs. Solomon’s not tutoring, she’s spending time with family, especially her daughter Ellen Fay, who was born in 2018, and her great dane, Opal.

Mrs. Miller has a total of 9 years teaching high school. She has taught a variety of science courses including Chemistry, Physical Science, and Environmental Science. While teaching she enjoyed her time coaching Science Olympiad and bringing her team to the State Championships! She spends most of her time taking care of her two daughters, experimentally cooking, and playing board games with her friends. Rebecca is available for private tutoring for chemistry.
