音樂理論101

Greetings musicians! Do you love music or play an instrument and want to dive deeper into reading music? This is the class for you! We will start at the very beginning with note letter names and end by writing our own line of music for your chosen instrument!  Teacher Tammy has a degree in music education and has taught elementary music for over fifteen years!  
Day 1: Note pitch letter names! Let's learn the names of the lines and spaces on the treble clef and bass clef!  Learn some tricks and play some games to memorize these note pitch names! Work on activities at home to cement your learning!
Day 2: Learn rhythms! Discuss all major rhythm durations and rests! clap rhythms, draw rhythms and name rhythms! Play rhythm matching games! Practice rhythm worksheets and games online to memorize these basic music concepts!
Day 3: Meters! Practice grouping rhythms into measures in different time signatures (meters).  Draw and fill in measures to match common time signatures. 
Day 4: Key signatures! Learn all major key signatures! Memorize and learn tips on recognizing key signatures in songs! 
Day 5: Let's write our own song utilizing the previous weeks learning!
