In the Mindful Moments Circle Time, children will be taught essential mindfulness skills and techniques to enhance their emotional awareness, self-regulation, and overall well-being. The focus will be on cultivating mindfulness through activities like breathing exercises, movement, storytelling, art, and expressing kindness. The class is structured via Zoom and Nearpod in a series of engaging and age-appropriate activities that transition from one to another. Each activity is designed to capture the attention and curiosity of young learners, creating a balanced and interactive session. Teaching will involve a blend of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic elements to cater to different learning styles. The virtual environment will incorporate visuals, storytelling (our own stories), breathing exercises, and interactive discussions to keep children engaged and connected. Learners will have frequent opportunities to interact both with the instructor and with each other. The interaction will vary, including: discussion, story telling, art activities, etc. There is no prior knowledge or experience needed.
