In this class we will learn the different ways in which we can think about the parts of a whole number. We will work with fractions, decimals, and percentages by using story problems, written practice and incorporating games and puzzles, and students will learn how to convert between fractions, decimals and percentages as they become comfortable with each individually. We will also work with additional, subtraction, multiplication and division of fractions and decimals. The focus will be shaped as the teacher works with the students who attend, based on where the most practice is needed. 
Aurore Sibley is a Waldorf grades and educational support specialist and has been teaching for over twenty years.

There will be practice sheets or problems that students will be asked to complete between classes each week to practice the material covered before moving on, and which we will review these together as needed.

Learner progress will be assessed through class participation and activities that they are assigned as well as informal in-class assessment.

I am trained as an educational support teacher and have had the opportunity to support variety of learning challenges in various settings. 
Blank or graph paper for written practice and a notebook that is dedicated to this subject would be helpful. Both graphite and colored pencils are required.
