瑪麗凱特和阿什利讀書俱樂部

In this fun and exciting ongoing course, learners will get to join Mary Kate and Ashley as they try to solve a mystery. We will discuss together what happened in the story, what the characters learned, and our own favorite parts. Learners will be expected to read the book before coming to class. These books are a favorite of mine and past students and are a great way to jump into reading chapter books. The goal of this class is to learn new concepts and instill the joy of reading to young learners.  

Learners will be required to purchase the book or loan it from the library to be able to read in advance. 

We will talk about different English concepts such as
- setting
- character 
- writing
- fiction
- sequencing

There will be a choice board assignment each week where students will chose and color in a square on the board to complete for the book of the week. Student must chose a different square for each week they participate. 

Students will get to interact with each and myself during discussions. 

Class Structure:
- Attendance
- Start off by expressing our thoughts about the book (did we like it or not)
- Teacher led questions
- Student guided questions
- Opportunity for students to share their work if they like.
