Beginner - Advanced 等級
Class format will be as follows: ~10 min Greeting and Characters study. ~ 20 min Reading and sentence structure study. ~10 min Practice choose from listening, reading comprehension, and writing. Topics for Mandarin 2 I will focus on the following topic for each class. I will adjust the pacing depending on students' level. I also recommend student take 2 classes a week because in Mandarin 2 the Lessons are longer, so we can practice the exercises more. ⇢ Week of (4/21): Topic: Greetings...
In Mandarin 2, students are expected to learn 750 characters. Students are expected to know 35 sentence structure.
I am currently a World Language Teacher at my local high school. I grew up in China with Chinese being my first language. Then I moved to the US I earned my B.A. in Chinese. During college, I participated in the Chinese-American essay contest on Chinese History and Culture and won the Honorable Mention. I also won 2nd place on the 31st Chinese Speech Contest.
