課堂經歷
In this weekly class, learners will socialize and play the Roblox game Livetopa on a safe, private server. On weeks when we have new learners joining the class, some gaming etiquette and safety tips will be shared while we play. Learners can have fun socializing and roleplaying together as we live, work, and play in the large world of Livetopia! Players can get jobs and buy houses. We can work together to defend the city from a UFO threat! We can drive our vehicles around while exploring the map and maybe even find some secret places and add some cute cats to our collection! For the safety and privacy of all learners, class recordings will not be shared.

父母的引導和規範
Learners will have to friend the teacher in order to participate on the private server. I will unfriend students and closed the server immediately after class. Because of the nature of Roblox, other students can see their Roblox gamer tag in the game while playing, but are asked not to add each other in class. If learners want to friend each other, they should have their parents contact each other on Outschool.
There are cartoon depictions of weapons and explosives in this game, however, I do not allow weapons to be used against other students on my server. Learners will be informed of this rule at the beginning of class. We can use the weapons to destroy the UFO, as it is a part of the game.

My name is Christine, but in 2021, many of my learners started calling me by the nickname Ms. Wish after my gamer handle. I love it and it stuck!
I am a former private school classroom teacher and current homeschooling mom. I have taught students from infants to senior citizens in various subjects, though I have a special affinity for video gaming, music, math, theater, and language.
On Outschool, I teach mostly social gaming clubs as I have found a need for learners to socialize while playing their favorite online games in a safe and supervised environment. In these classes, students build important social skills needed to have fun and stay safe in an online gaming environment. I am a strong believer that much learning happens through play! Like Maria Montessori said "play is the work of the child." These days much play happens in the virtual world, and as a lifelong gamer I choose to embrace it!
I have had a passion for teaching since I was in 3rd Grade and was selected for a program that allowed a few students to tutor 1st-grade students in reading and math. Since then, I have worked as a teacher/tutor my entire adult life. I have a Bachelor's in Liberal Studies with a concentration in music and have received training in the Kodaly Method of teaching music to young learners. My instrument of choice is my voice.
I have a gentle and playful teaching style built on mutual respect. My favorite quote is from Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods, "Careful the things you say. Children will listen. Careful the things you do. Children will see and learn."
When I am not teaching, I enjoy hiking and rediscovering the wonders of nature with my son.
