Do you love English? In this Ongoing Class, learners will explore a range of Writing genres in a fun and interactive way. This course aims to provide meaningful learning experiences for young writers. Each class will include a range of teaching methods and activities that are designed to engage the learners in both a hands-on and minds-on way. Classes will include discussions, Q&A, quizzes, games, worksheets, songs, videos and much more. Learners will be encouraged to write, revise and share what they write. A variety of methods are used to support learners and cater for different learning styles and needs. Week of 19/8/24 - Formal letter - requesting information Week of 26/8/24 - Reading for pleasure Week of 2/9/24 - Mother and son Week of 9/9/24 - Creative writing - describing a scene Week of 16/9/24 - The job of chocolatier Week of 23/9/24 - Tips for starting a business Week of 30/9/24 - Form - applying for a course Week of 7/10/24 - English around the home Week of 14/10/24 - The furnishings chain Ikea Week of 21/10/24 - Essay - writing about problems and solutions Week of 28/10/24 - A new car that encounters road rage Week of 4/11/24 - Route 66 Week of 11/11/24 - Report: Describing trends Week of 18/11/24 - The history of money Week of 25/11/24 - Donating to charities Week of 2/12/24 - Informal letter: Saying thank you Week of 9/12/24 - A family holiday Week of 16/12/24 - Unclaimed baggage Each week will include English language direction including spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, grammar and input on ideas. Learners are expected to complete their writing following each class and submit it via the classroom. I look forward to being part of your learning journey!
