As they learn these terms, I use questioning to get them to think of English words derived from them, while also providing examples that will build their English vocabulary. I am a certified educator and have been teaching Latin and classical culture in the classroom and online for almost 23 years. I hold two bachelor's degrees, one in English and one in Classical Studies, and a master's degree in Latin.
A three page handout describing basic Roman dress and Latin root words with English derivatives will be provided.

In this class we will be using the Kahoot quiz site for fun, low stakes competition and reinforcement for the learning. No subscription is required to use this free service. Students will be participating via computer or smartphone to sign into the quiz game. I will also be screen sharing to present a google slide presentation.
