Lesson is aimed for pre-readers new to coding. Students 4 years old may join, but will need adult support. Students will follow along with teacher as they learn the basics of programming with Scratch Jr. It is beneficial to join class using a different device in order to follow along with teacher. Students will learn the following: - use and code one or more sprites - use one or more background - add voice/speech to sprites - hide and show sprites - change the size of sprites It is important to join class on time and have the app downloaded before class.

Hello! My name is Cynthia Burleigh. I live in Texas. I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor in Science in Information Systems. I started my career in a banking institute, but quickly realized I wanted to become a teacher. I have been working in education for 15 years, 3 years teaching with Outschool. I am Bilingual Certified - speak English and Spanish and teach Bilingual and ESL students. My teaching experience includes: Robotics, Codings, Spanish, Pre K - 3rd grade Bilingual instruction, Bilingual Reading Specialist, and STEM teacher.
I love to teach Reading, Math, Spanish, Technology and STEM (including robotics). I love spending time with family, teaching, and running. A little fun fact about me...I run marathons for fun! I can't wait to see you in class.評論
