Get moving with this class where you will be exposed to different kinds of music from Spanish speaking countries and learn basic solo steps. You do not need any previous knowledge of any of this, not even Spanish (even though you will hear Spanish a good amount, great bonus!). 

Music is a universal language, and dancing goes along with it. In this class, we will solo dance to Bachata, Merengue, Salsa, Vallenato, Cumbia Colombiana, etc. 

At the beginning of the class we will have a warm up which will get us moving and stretching, Then, it is dancing time! We will work on basic steps, body movement, fun popular moves, and free styling. Then we will have our cool down and final stretching time which will lead to a quick sharing time for students to talk about the experience of the day.  Dancers should wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing, and be in a space where they can show their moves! 

Please, make sure you have enough room to move around with the steps we learn each class, have a bottle of water handy to stay hydrated and wear comfortable clothing. Warm up and stretch before and after class. 

Each week will have a different focus dance and we may add surprise dances here and there. 
Focus dances: Merengue, Bachata, Salsa,  Cumbia 

Each week will have a main focus, but during warm up and cool down we will have different kinds of music from other weeks. 

IMPORTANT: Dancers will be needing an open workout space, proper footwear, a water bottle to stay hydrated. Adequate stretching should be done beforehand and afterwards. Dancers will need a space where they can spin for certain moves and dances, please supervise as needed.
