In this fun interactive lesson students are going to work with a type of grid puzzle called KenKen puzzles. The puzzles will have a Minecraft theme. We will not be playing the Minecraft game. While working with puzzles is very fun, they are also a great way to practice our math skills such as logic, problem solving, addition and subtraction. Students will first learn how to do the puzzles and then work together as a class to solve the puzzles. This class will be taught in a fun interactive group discussion setting giving students opportunity to have lots of fun while they practice their math and logic skills and love for Minecraft along with their peers. Students should have min. basic knowledge/skills of addition and subtraction through grade 2.

Hello! I’m Teacher Sheila.
I’ve been teaching both children and adults for over 20 years.
I have a Bachelors Degree in education, I’m TESOL certified and I’m homeschool certified as well.
I am currently teaching English online to children in China. I also offer classes in Common Core subjects Online in the US as well.
I have home schooled all five of my children, 4 have graduated 12th grade and I’m currently working with my last kid who will be starting High School this year.
I am so very passionate about teaching that I even spend much of my free time in volunteer work teaching others. My goal is to instill in my students a lifelong love of learning.
In fact I believe in learning so much that I am always involved continuing education myself, whether it be in foreign language, improving my teaching techniques and even weekly public speaking classes.
I believe I have a LOT to bring to the classroom and I’m EXCITED to begin on this journey in learning with you! I hope to see YOU in my classroom soon!
