From spooky haunted houses to cute pumpkin patch ghosts, each day students will create a new art project in celebration of Halloween! Students will be guided through a step-by-step directed drawing and then will watercolor paint their project. During the painting portion of the lesson, students will be provided the instruction to utilize different painting techniques while being encouraged to add their own creative details. This class values the process of creating art over the final product. Building confidence, exploring creativity, and having fun are the main objectives of this course. No drawing or painting experience necessary. All learners are welcome to join this camp with fun, relaxing, and engaging lessons! Students will learn to draw and watercolor paint a different project each day for one week. The topics are as follows: Monday: Sweet Ghost with Jack-O-Lantern Tuesday: Cutie Halloween Kitty Wednesday: Fun Frankenstein Thursday: Marvelous Mummy Friday: Spooky Haunted House

My name is Kai and I have a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, a Child Development Master Teacher Permit, and Master in Education from UCLA. Over the last 10 years, I've worked with children ages 3-12 as a teacher, summer camp counselor, and tutor. My passion is teaching early elementary and I have spent the last four years perfecting my practice as a Kindergarten and TK teacher.
