In this one-hour class, students will work step-by-step to create a realistic pencil drawing of a cat's eye. Although some experience with drawing would be great, it is not required, as I will be walking you through every step of this process. This class will briefly discuss drawing paper, pencils, and other tools that can be used to enhance a young artist's skills. - Students will learn about drawing paper, pencils and different tools they can use either in this class or for future reference to help them create realistic drawings.

Students must be able to sit and draw for one hour while in this class.
Paper - Drawing paper is not required, but a favorite of mine is Strathmore 300 Series Bristol Pad, Smooth. A pad of this drawing paper in 9x12" size is around $9. Pencil - Drawing pencils are not required for this class, and I will be using a basic mechanical pencil for this reason. However, if students have drawing pencils, they are welcome to use them! Eraser - Basic eraser, or a kneaded eraser (less than $1) if desired. A Quarter - This is needed for the outline of the cat's eye.
