課堂經歷
*Please Note: As a professional teacher, I have years of experience working with students with special needs, i.e. Autism, ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Stuttering, etc. All students are welcome in my classes!* Check out my Brand New Facebook group for parenting, and my website for more info on other courses I offer! https://www.facebook.com/groups/502924158026989/ www.theapexprofessor.com This is a very intense, fast-paced, in-depth course about money and Entrepreneurship. Kids in this class will learn budgeting, taxes, paying for college, credit, credit card management, loans, mindsets and attitudes towards money, emotional spending, values of homes and apartments, what it costs to live on your own, the cost of luxury items everyone wants, and so much more! The purpose of this camp is very simple: to set kids up for success. Too many well-meaning adults give so much bad advice when it comes to money, and especially to college, that kids end up making huge financial mistakes that can affect them for years into adulthood. I want to inform kids of what the world is really like so they can learn to save, be disciplined with their money, and so they can be as financially successful as possible. Heck, if my training can help kids become millionaires in the future, I would love that! I believe that when kids are taught about what's possible, they'll be able to change their lives, and even the world! Knowledge is power, and this camp empowers kids to make great decisions and avoid the mistakes that so many of us made growing up! HOW IT WORKS: Every Sunday, I will post a video for that week's content. Every Wednesday, students will post a short summary of their take-aways so I can see what they are actually learning. 1-2 Discussion Questions will be posted weekly that will include quick HW assignments that are to be answered by Friday of that week. Students are encouraged to interact with each other to share their learning, suggestions, comments, and questions. I will be active in responding to student posts as well. Students will be given a quiz on Wednesdays from Quizizz, and will need to finish and submit results by Friday every week so students can discuss their results together. Each week, students will create a piece of their life-plan that they post on our class padlet based on that week's content. Students will be able to see, comment, and rate each other's ideas, and they will be able to modify their own life-plans if they so choose based on the content that others post. OPTIONAL LIVE MEETING: Students have the option to request a live meeting in order to meet other students or myself, and to ask questions or make comments. Kids will be able to answer these questions after camp is over: Is college for me? What is the smartest way to pay for college if I decide to go? How can I leverage my current skills and interests to make money RIGHT NOW? Can I afford the life I want when I'm an adult? Can I afford to move out and live on my own? How can I leverage the internet to start a business? How can I manage credit cards responsibly? What even is a credit score, and how can I make mine amazing? What are taxes and how do they affect me? What do I need to do to be able to afford that Lambo and Rolex? (And other luxury items) What is a loan and how do they work? How do I buy a car? And yes....so much more! :) Schedule: Week 1: Mindsets and attitudes about money Emotional Spending Federal Income Taxes vs. State Income Taxes Value of homes and apartments depending on where you live Starting a business vs. having a job Week 2: Current Tax Brackets Salary breakdowns Average monthly expenses of a single adult Real life examples of things that can go wrong The reality of starting a business Monetizing your current skills Costs of things that people like. Cars, jewelry, watches, homes, traveling, clothes, cologne and perfume Week 3: Credit Credit Scores Building Credit Applying for credit cards Managing credit cards How credit affects everything....buying cars, getting loans, renting apartments, getting a mortgage, etc.. Week 4: Community College vs. Private College vs. State College Different degree types and associated costs Real-Time current tuitions for some different colleges The danger of student loans Costs associate with college outside of tuition Trade school How loans for college will affect your life after college Bad advice vs. good advice when considering if college is the right decision Week 5: Entrepreneurship Business lingo Types of business you can start The reality of starting a business (What it takes) The benefits of entrepreneurship How kids can monetize their current skills How kids can leverage the internet to start a business During the week, students will be encouraged to ask questions and have open discussions in our class comments section. Kids can ask literally any questions they have about money and entrepreneurship, and they will be answered. I am so stoked to teach these classes, and I can't wait to see you on the other side!

First things first. If you see a class you really want to take but need a different day or time, please email me! With enough interest, I can open up new times. (Most likely on the weekends).
Hello everyone! So, I love teaching, mentoring, and working with kids. I have my Bachelor's in Elementary Education, my Bachelor's in Writing Arts, my Master's in Educational Leadership, a K-12 Reading Certification, a minor in French, and my middle school certification for teaching language arts, I currently teach 4th grade. I have taught in New Jersey (Where I'm from), North Carolina, Nevada, and now Arizona.
I began mentoring kids when I was 17 years old. Fun fact: one of the kids I have mentored lives in Honduras, and I met him on a trip there with my church in 2007.
My Personal Mission Statement is this: To speak hope where there is no hope; to speak life where there is no life. I love teaching things that are significant, meaningful, and life-long. I believe in teaching kids real-life skills and knowledge that will protect them, and that will help them to make great life choices. I take complicated topics and break them down into fun, easy-to-understand pieces of content that are easily digestible by all learners.
In particular, I love teaching about internet safety, financial literacy, mindset skills, the reality of college, and entrepreneurship. I want kids to learn things about money, college, and entrepreneurship that I never learned so they can avoid the mistakes that I made, and so they can avoid the mistakes that so many other people have made! I believe that when kids learn these essential skills early on in life, they will be able to get a head-start on their competition, and they will be able to make great financial decisions that will eventually lead to real wealth creation!
Parents and kids love my classes because the material taught is relevant and instantly applicable to their lives. Parents and kids alike learn more from my classes than they thought they would, and parents have told me that my classes have helped their kids open up to them about personal topics they never talked about before.
Fun Facts:
1. I have recently started liking anime because my sons love it and they got me into it. My current favorite is DeathNote.
2. The barbell squat is my favorite workout.
3. I love photography, and I used to be a professional photographer.
4. Seinfeld is the greatest show ever created on planet Earth.
5. My favorite car is the Dodge Viper ACR Extreme.
6. Other cars I am working towards buying: Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, Camaro ZL1 1LE, Corvette ZR1 and Corvette C8, BMW M8 Grand Coup, Lincoln Aviator, Aston Martin, and many others!
7. I have inspired several past students to explore and become entrepreneurs, and I look forward to inspiring more!
