In this one-time art class, students will learn to draw a cute winter mouse ice-skating, using colored pencil. I will demonstrate each step for students and have students complete that step along with me. My classroom is a calm, fun, and creative environment where discussion between teacher and students is encouraged and a great place for students to make lasting friendships. 1. Students will learn techniques to sketch a proportionate contour drawing (outline) of an ice-skating mouse, using pencil. 2. Students will learn techniques for smooth blending, pencil application, gradient blending, and adding contrast, using colored pencil. 3. Students will learn techniques to create knitted texture of a hat and scarf, using colored pencil. 4. Students will learn techniques to create movement in their art, using colored pencil.

***I will be using Prismacolor colored pencils, but students can use what they have. -Paper -Everyday pencil and/or drawing pencils -Everyday eraser and/or kneaded eraser -Pencil Sharpener -Colored Pencils: pink, purple, blue, gray, white, black
