In this one-time drawing course, students will learn the basics of drawing a realistic tabby cat portrait. Students will learn techniques to draw a proportionate tabby cat (head to chest) using pencil. Students will also learn basic shading techniques and techniques for adding fur texture. I have been drawing animal portraits for nearly ten years. It is what I love to draw most of all!

Please, no bigger than 9 x 12 inches.) -Wooden pencil with eraser -Pencil sharpener -Kneaded eraser (You can purchase a kneaded eraser for around $5 on Amazon.) -Printed reference photo of tabby cat (attached to the welcome email) OR access to the photo during class via an electronic device OPTIONAL: -Drawing pencils (You can purchase drawing pencils for around $10 on Amazon.) -Blending stumps (You can purchase blending stumps for around $5 on Amazon.) (You can also use a Q-Tip or Kleenex.)
