Yeah! Your learner has conquered CVC and CVCE words and they are ready for the next step! In these classes we are going to add some blends to your child's reading skills; we will use some lecture in these class, but most of the activities in these classes will give learners the opportunity to interact with their teacher and their classmates. We will play games and do other activities to practice our new reading skills. The goal of these classes will be to give learners tools for more advanced reading! Week 1: In this class we will work with blends containing the letter "l". Week 2: In this class we will work with blends containing the letter "r". Week 3: In this class we will work with blends containing the letter "s". Week 4: In this class we will work with blends containing the letter "h". Week 5 : In this class we will review blends containing "l, r, s, and h" Students will definitely benefit from a knowledge of CVC and CVCE words.

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
I look forward to meeting your child and having lots of fun learning together!
