So many students graduate high school without knowing what they are going to do now. The earlier students think about their futures, the more prepared they are post high school. In this class, students ages 12-15 will take an interest inventory to determine what Holland Codes they fit into the best. We will learn what each Holland code is and what that means for the student. As a class, we will use a website during class to search occupations that fit into each Holland Code. They will...

The goal for this class is to learn the different Holland Codes and explore which code the student fall into. They will then more knowledgeable about which career paths fall into their interests. This will NOT, of course, guarantee that your student will know exactly what career path they want to do, but it can help get them thinking about it and hopefully narrow it down.
Student may want something to write on to take notes about the careers they research, but it is not required.
