In this class your student will learn all about the small-cell honeybee from an experienced beekeeper. We will cover the life cycle of the bee, the different types of honeybees in a colony, what bees eat, why bees are important, and some basic equipment beekeepers use. There will be slides and video clips, a coloring and information sheet, an opportunity for children to ask questions, and a printable craft for your child to do after class. There is no required prior knowledge or experience needed. **Please note that there is a lot of information in this class and it often goes beyond 40 minutes depending on class participation.**

-The differences between worker bees, drone bees, and queen bees.
-The life cycle of a honeybee.

-Why bees are important.
-Basic beekeeping equipment.
