Bb 單簧管課程

Beginner Bb Clarinet Students:

Week One:  
*Parts of the Clarinet:  mouthpiece / ligature / reeds / barrel / upper joint / lower joint and bell
*Reeds:  brands and strengths, care and placement on the mouthpiece
*Explanation of the correct embouchure 

Week Two:  
*Producing the first sounds with the correct embouchure and breathing.

Week Three:  
Learning to read basic notation 
Continuing with mouth piece and tone production

Week Four:  
A method book will be suggested / sheet music will be assigned. 
Continuing with mouth piece and tone production.

Week Five:  
Assembling the rest of the clarinet and holding position 
Producing an open G

Intermediate Clarinet Student:

Week One:  
Prepare and play a simple 4 - 16 measure of music 
We will use your prepared music to begin the first lesson (tone / rhythms / technique and expression)

Week Two:  
Current band music and a method book will be suggested / sheet music will be assigned. 
 
Advance (High School) students:

Week One:  
Prepare and play a simple 4 - 16 measure of music 
We will use your prepared music to begin the first lesson (tone / rhythms / technique and expression)

Week Two:  
Embouchure and Breathing Technique
Current Band Music plus a method book will be suggested / sheet music will be assigned.
