Let's learn the fundamentals of baking and some easy recipes! *Some* parent help may be needed (depending on students’ comfort when it's time to use the oven or the griddle). The students will take this class in their kitchen. Before class, I will provide the recipe of the baked item we will be making in class. I am a preschool teacher with a love of baking. My own daughter (5) has been baking with me since she was 2. It's important for children to learn their way around the kitchen. Sometimes it gets a little messy, and that's okay. It's part of the fun! :)
I will provide the recipes for everything we make before each class. You need a whisk,and measuring cups/spoons. Common ingredients (Flour, butter, vanilla extract, eggs, chocolate chips, etc). If you have mixer, that is preferred, but I started baking before I had one...I can teach you how to bake using pretty basic tools!
