Unit 2 of AP World History covers c. 1200-1450 The Silk Road The Mongol Empire Exchange in the Indian Ocean Trans-Saharan Trade Routes Cultural and Environmental Consequences of Connectivity Students who attend this class will be provided with a content review, practice multiple-choice questions, and a significant amount of resources to read, use, or watch to continue to fill in the missing pieces of Unit 2 (based on the College Board curriculum for AP World History.) The first half of the class is presentation format (via shared PowerPoint) and students are encouraged to ask questions. The second half of the class will use either Nearpod or Kahoot to allow students to participate in the multiple-choice review. (Kahoot and Nearpod do require access through a browser, however, students only need to enter their first names.) At the end of class, I will share a document that contains a variety of Unit 2 review materials.

Students will improve their understanding of Unit 2 of AP World History (Networks of Exchange).
Students will identify key events and locations relating to trade during the time period 1200-1450.
Students will define key terms.
