Students will apply their reading skills while focusing on their reading comprehension. Through class discussions we will practice making predictions, making connections, questioning, making inferences, summarizing, and synthesizing. Students will compare and contrast the plot of the story to other stories within the series. Students will practice using the text to support their thinking when asking and answering questions.

Students will have the opportunity to socialize and share their own opinions of the text.

Experience- 9 years as a public school teacher. Three years as a stay-at-home parent to two young children.
