Students will learn and gain confidence in their abilities with 6th grade math skills.

I have a Bachelor of Art in K-8 Interdisciplinary Studies. I have worked with students, ages 2 - 18, in multiple different settings including public schools, private daycares, Girl Scouts, and homeschooling my own children from primary school through high school graduation. I have worked as a Teachers' Aid in a 6-8th grade building in all core classes including 6-8th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geography, Civics, Life Science, and ELA. As a Teacher's Aid, my job was to pull small groups of students and reteach the concepts that were taught by the teacher, but in a easier to understand way for the students that struggled with the concepts. I also worked closely with the teachers to develop class curriculum for both the whole class and for struggling learners. I have over 10 years of experience working with children with both special learning and behavioral needs in a public classroom setting.

Homework will be assigned as needed on students' Google Slides. Homework should only take 15-30 minutes or less.

Letter grades can be provide if requested in advance. I provide grades based on class participation, quality of work, and engagement.

We will sometimes refer to the Big Ideas Math website during class. Students will not need to access the site on their computers, it will only be used as a screen share from my computer.
