Learn the art of game design using Minecraft in this twice a week 1-on-1 class! Unlock the power of: Command Blocks, Resource Packs, and Redstone. Combine all of these to make an RPG Action Adventure Game in Minecraft. This class is run on a private server so that we can work on your game together. In order to make a polished game in a timely manner I provide an awesome world with a lot of differently themed areas. You pick the areas that will work for your storyline, and then use Worldedit to rapidly change them to be perfect for your story. For Example: Maybe you want to use one of the provided castles, but your game is all about marshmallows. Worldedit and resource packs let us change it into a giant marshmallow castle in minutes. Minecraft is awesome because you can build anything. In this class you'll learn all of the basics of Game Design; Story boarding, The Hero's Journey, Environmental Storytelling, Implementing Progressive Difficulty, Creating Game Cinematics, Boss Fights, and More!

Level Setup & Storyline
We'll start by choosing the section of the Minecraft world that you want to use for your level.
Then we'll create your storyline and write the different lines we want the player, villagers, and boss to say during throughout your game. 60 分鐘線上直播課

Player Special Ability
Using command blocks we'll create 2 abilities for the kind of player class you want.
Examples player classes are: Warrior, Druid, Ranger, Cleric, Summoner, Wizard. 60 分鐘線上直播課

First Quest
Using command blocks and redstone we will create a 3 part quest.
- The villager NPC will request your help with a task.
- We will complete that task.
- Upon returning the NPC will give us a reward. 60 分鐘線上直播課
課 4:
Controlled Chaos
Having completed our first quest, we'll use our storyline to send the player to where they need to go next.
On the way there we'll create a battle called controlled chaos. This is a battle where the player will be pushed into what seems like an impossible situation. However our commands will control the battle, making sure it never gets too difficult. 60 分鐘線上直播課

I've been teaching and developing curriculum for Minecraft classes for over 10 years. When Minecraft first became popular I designed several Minecraft courses for iD Tech Camps that went viral, and have since become standard classes in the tech camp industry.
During the last 10 years I've created dozens of different kinds of Minecraft classes for tech camps and schools. I've also taught hundreds of students in my own Minecraft classes. The most popular of which are: Minecraft Game Design, RPG Data Packs, Electrical Engineering, and Java Modding.
Fun side note: this class "Minecraft Game Design" is the first class I created for iD Tech Camps. It's evolved a TON since then, but it's still one of my favorite classes because Minecraft has become so good for making games with!評論
