젊은 학습자를 위한 글쓰기

Skills covered include, listening, speaking, connecting to a story, sharing thoughts and putting them into a spoken and then written sentence.  This course combines my "Kindergarten Writing" classes into an ongoing writing experience. Learners will listen to a story, discuss ideas for a written response and then work together to write a sentence or two based on the story.  Books being shared include; Week 1: "A Bad Case of the Stripes," Week 2: "Cook-a-Doodle-Doo," Week 3: "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus", Week 4: "Don't Let the Pigeon Stay up Late!" Week 5: "Dragons Love Tacos," Week 6: "Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse" and Week 7: "My Lucky Day." My job is to coach your learner through putting their idea into a manageable sentence and then stretching out words as they write the sentence along with me.  High Frequency words will also be covered as part of the writing process.  The course is limited to 6 students to allow learners to share ideas with each other through conversation and to work through writing a sentence together. Learners should be able to write most letters of the alphabet and have some knowledge of letter sounds. English Language Learners welcome!
