We all know that carrots are good for your eyes, right? But why? What about broccoli? Do we really need it? We'll explore the role of different vitamins and minerals in our bodies and where we can find those nutrients. While this is a flex course with no live classes, there are plenty of fun activities. Using the OutSchool Classroom, we'll learn and laugh with games, trivia, and critical thinking. We'll solve vitamin and mineral mysteries and leave with some tools to help students...
Students will learn about the essential vitamins and minerals we need and how to get them in our diets.
I have an M.S. in health education and a B.S. in health, wellness, and nutrition. I have spent most of the last decade developing and teaching curriculum for youth and family community health programs. I've had the opportunity to help children and adults learn about prevention and reversal of chronic health issues and feel more capable in the face of confusing health and nutrition information.
All necessary materials will be provided in the OutSchool Classroom.
