Hello and Welcome to The ArKIDecture Academy! In this four day camp, students will design a house inside and out with materials found around their home. They will learn about architectural elements on the exterior of a house such as doors, windows, and roofs, as well as materials that can be used to construct a home. They will also learn about interior features such as doors, walls, rooms, and furniture. They will construct a 3D model out of their recycled materials that will exemplify...
Students will learn the basic architectural elements that are used to design both the interior and exterior of a house. They will also learn about upcycling materials and how to use things that can be found in their homes to create amazing designs.
I am a practicing architectural designer in the world of residential design. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Design and a Master's Degree in Architecture. I have been sharing my passion of architecture through architectural camps and classes for children since 1999.

1 Shoe box of any size Construction Paper Scrap Paper Glue (preferably Regular (Elmer's or similar) glue vs glue stick as we will be glueing heavier items in this class) Tape Scissors Markers/crayons Found Materials: toilet paper rolls, tissue paper, buttons, beads, lids, yarn, stickers, popsicle sticks, sticks, etc.
