The learning goals for this course will be to teach the student about the Spitfire aircraft, the historic significance during World War II, facts about the different variants of the aircraft, and how the aircraft was used in the European theater of the war. There will be an attached note taking document with pictures to help the student learn and retain the information in this course. There is also a short video of the Spitfire history in WWII. The desire of the teacher is to engage the students with questions and dialogue to help them further learn the material and answer questions. There will be no assigned homework in this class and the teaching style will be lecture via power point material with a few questions asked of the students.

There is no overt violent imagery in this class and is suitable for middle school age students. There will be a YouTube video using the teacher's Premium account that will be viewed in class on the Outschool platform. The student does not have to go to a separate site for any material in this class.
