Bring your favorite princess or unicorn item and let's have some fun! We will have story time, show and tell, move, learn letters, numbers, shapes, colors, and make a castle out of shapes! Show and Tell: Dress up and/or bring your favorite princess or unicorn item! Book: We will read the book “Never Let a Princess Paint with her Unicorn” by Diane Alber. Children will be able to engage with the fun adventures of the princess and her unicorn and make predictions. Learners will help re-tell the story! Activity: We will count learners favorite princesses and say colors and letters as we add them to the castle. Princess Movement: We will move to princess and unicorn movement cards and letters (ex: W - Wave your magic Wand) 5 Unicorns Song: We will sing and count unicorns on a glitter log! Castle Art: We will be creative and practice fine motor skills making a shape castle! We will end class with any learner who wants to show their castle and sing our goodbye song! I am a certified teacher and very excited to have a fun and engaging class with your child! I am friendly, patient and encouraging to all students. My goal is to have each of your children learn in a fun way and end class with a smile! Supply List for Shape Castle Craft: One piece of construction paper (any color) for background. Different shapes (squares, rectangles, squares and triangles) pre-cut out of different colors of construction paper. Glue Crayons or Markers Stickers, gems, glitter or anything else they would like to decorate their castle with! We will be making the shape castle together in class!
