Students will learn the definitions of geometric terms for circles as well as how to solve for a circle's arc length and arc measurement by applying the appropriate formulas and solving for the variable.

I have a B.S. in Secondary Mathematics Education from the University of South Florida. I have experience teaching Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry in a public Middle School. I have 10+ years of experience as a math tutor for ages 11 to 18.

Optional homework will be provided at the conclusion of the lesson for students to continue practicing the skills of solving for arc measures and arc lengths. The questions will take approximately 20 to 30 minutes for students to solve independently and an answer key will be provided upon request.

Students will be informally assessed in the warm-up activity to determine the geometry skills and knowledge that they are bringing into this session. Throughout the class, guided practice problems will be used to measure students level of understanding. At the conclusion of the class, independent questions will be provided for students to demonstrate mastery of the concepts presented.
