어린이를 위한 플라멩코 댄스-세비야나스 1부

No prior dance experience is needed for this class. In this class, learners will be lead with a live warm up with Flamenco arm movements (brazeo), foot movements (marcaje) and each class will end with instruction and choreography of the traditional Sevillanas dance. The history of the origin of Flamenco will be introduced. To help build an understanding to the celebration of the Sevillanas, a visual presentation will be shown in advance along with pictures of traditional dance costumes. Each week, the learners will be taught the steps to each section of the Sevillanas, which is three parts, and once the dance has been learned, arm movements will be added to complete the choreography. Costumes will be encouraged for their final class, but are not necessary. At the end of this 8 week class, learners will be able to dance the Sevillanas to music and will end with a big, Ole!

Meeting 8-Final presentation of the first Sevillanas
