This class functions as a drop in ELA course for students to build their reading comprehension skills. I also assist learners with identifying and discussing literary elements used by the author to build a central idea. As a certified ELA and Special Education teacher, I provide learners with age appropriate stories and we read aloud to improve learners' reading fluency and inflections. I am certified to teach English Language Arts and Special Education for grades 7-12 in the state of New York. I have over ten years experience in the classroom assisting learners in analyzing short stories for intermediate to high school levels.
